Marilyn Davis Payne Collection The Marilyn Davis Payne collection consists of a group of printed material relating to the history of churches and worship in Jackson and Gallia counties; two newspaper articles – one on the history of the first Welsh settlers in Ohio and the other recording the Oak Hill Bicentennial in 1976; a booklet compiled by Dan T. Davis on “Us” Davises [1950] where he traces the history of his family who emigrated from Cardiganshire to Ohio; and a program for a reunion of the descendants of David and Elizabeth Davies of Pyllau Duon, Cardiganshire in 1985. A photograph is also included.
