The collection consists of photographs mainly relating to Oak Hill, the major industries in the area, the Welsh Pioneers who established and operated these first industries and the workers. Among the companies that reflect these industries are Jefferson Furnace Company, The Aetna Fire Brick and Coal Company, The Oak Hill Fire Brick and Coal Company, The Ohio Fire Brick Company, The Davis Fire Brick Company, The Diamond Brick Company, The Pyro Clay Products Company, The Blackfork Coal Company, The Cambria Clay Products Company, The Cedar Heights Clay Company, The Plibrico Jointless Fire Brick Company and The Oak Hill Savings Bank. The collection also includes photographs of townscapes and the businesses of Oak Hill, some notable people and groups in the town together with a series of photographs of churches within the area.
