Three letters sent by Thomas H. Jones from Decatur, Georgia, September 18, 1864; Goldsboro, North Carolina, April 9, 1865; and Raleigh, North Carolina, April 30, 1865. They are all addressed to his sister, Anne. The first gives advice on morality to his sister if she intends to go to Covington or Cincinnati, the other two were written whilst he was in the army: the troops intend to march from the area and he may not be able to communicate for several weeks, and the news of Lincoln's death has affected him.
